Description of item

Based on the cold weather parka, a vintage wear representative of the British military, we have arranged the size.
The design allows you to securely close the front with a zipper and buttons. The bottom part of the zipper is not sewn to the body along with the zipper tape, making it easy to grab the zipper even when wearing thick gloves. The top of the zipper goes all the way to the neck, and by tightening the tab it covers the respiratory system. This tab and the parts for adjusting the hood circumference are made of wood.
When temperatures are extremely low, metals with high thermal conductivity can stick to bare skin and cause injury.
On the other hand, this is not the case with wooden parts, which have low thermal conductivity. There are three pockets in total, one on the left chest and one on both hips. The reason why it is located on the left chest is that it is easy to put in and take out with the right hand, which is the dominant arm of many people. These pockets are set with flaps, and this construction is extremely functional. Normal flaps only cover the pocket opening, but this product is different.

This product has flaps on both the body side and the pocket side, and it also has a snap closure at both ends, making it look like the envelope is folded in half in the middle. Rain and foreign objects are less likely to enter the pocket, and items stored inside the pocket will not fall out easily.
The left and right front sections are designed to close with both buttons and zippers, providing complete protection from the elements. The cuffs can also be opened and closed with buttons, and if it is a shirt, you can see that the slits are filled with triangular gussets. It is designed to prevent wind from entering through the slits, and is often seen in outerwear worn by paratroopers.
A pencil pocket is set on the left upper arm. The reason it is placed on the left upper arm is because most people are right-handed. A belt is set around the waist. The sturdy metal buckle is a faithful reproduction of the vintage one.
The back hem has a mix of M-51 details. The unique shape, also known as a fishtail, is due to the fact that it is tied to the thighs using spindles on the front, back, left and right, making it fit more tightly against the body. The diagonal cut design is distinctive, so many designers imitate that design. Most of these end up being designs for design's sake, and this is an example of how the original design for function has been forgotten. If you do not want to wear it this way, the back hem can be folded inward for storage.
